When I called you about coming to Bow Creek you were so warm and caring. I had called other facilities and the person on the phone did not seem to care about me as a person. You actually cared; I could feel it over the phone. I was so afraid to get help and you helped me to get past the fear. You helped me to understand that since Bow Creek is so small that I would get the treatment that I deserved. I never thought that I deserved anything. When I arrived at Bow Creek it was really not as scary as I thought it would be. You were right! I found that with so few clients I really felt comfortable. It was like my own group of friends that were like a family to me. A really positive and supportive family. I realized that I did deserve this great treatment. I recently received my one year chip. I still attend your free aftercare meetings. You guided me to make the right choice. You were kind and caring and I thank you for that. Thanks to you I have succeeded, one day at a time.

You are the very best. My mother had gone to other facilities and each time she came out and immediately used again. I know that she is very difficult and had been totally unwilling to decide to make changes in her life. I really have to thank Don for standing by my mother until she actually realized that she could succeed. All of her wonderful counselors worked with all of us in her family so we could become a real family again. We are very, very grateful for what you have done for our mother and our family. We have our mother back in a way we thought could not possibly happen. I can’t express what this means to all of us. A simple thank you is hardly enough. But, thank you so very much. Keep up the great work that you do. There will be so many families that will benefit from your support and help.

You were so supportive in helping me to find the right medical treatment for me. I came to you on all of the wrong medications for my situation. You and Virginia worked directly with me until we found the right medications. I feel so good now that I have the right medications. I have not felt this good in the last 10 years of my life. Both of you were also so kind and caring with me. I have never in my life met such a great doctor as you Dr. Stoune. I have never had a doctor actually care about me and my addictions. You listened carefully and always helped me to see that I could make it. Virginia worked with me until the medications that you chose for me finally made me feel good. She listened and I felt heard. Your help was a huge part of my recovery. Along with all of the great counselors guiding me to learn about myself, you have helped me to make it to the other side. I am a new person because of you. My daughter had been on a path of self destruction for years. We tried many times to find the help she needed to get clean. She never made the decision to do it until you all came along and helped her to find the way. She says that it felt so good to be in such a small family setting and she finally did not feel threatened. She could actually talk about herself and her issues and feel safe to do it. This was the turning point for her. She made the decision to be clean. She also made the decision to be a part of our family again. We love her so much and had missed her being a part of our family. You gave us back our daughter. It is a huge gift to us. Thanks for being here for our daughter and for us.

I wanted to thank you for helping me to get my life back together. When I came to you I should have been dead, my blood alcohol level was so high. Your caring staff supported me to learn about myself. I have now been clean for over two years. My family is back together. I get to be a good dad to my son. My wife and I have learned how to work things through. I would not have my family if it was not for all of you at Bow Creek. I can never thank you enough for your support and for introducing me to the AA program.

How can I ever thank you for your help. You cared about me and showed me the side of myself that I never knew existed. Your family therapy sessions helped me to reconnect with my sisters in a way that I never knew could be possible. I now know that they do love me and that they want the best for me.
