Next you are supported with a social model detox.  This process is overseen by our Medical Director, Dr. Stoune, who is an addictionologist.  His specialty is to help people to recover from addictions.  He supports your detox so that you are comfortable, so that you do not have severe withdrawals and cravings.  Dr. Stoune is one of the physicians in the area who is able to offer Suboxone treatment for those addicted to opiates.  The use of Suboxone helps to prevent the terrible craving that goes along with the removal of opiate use.  Once you are stabilized on the Suboxone then you are slowly removed from it and are able to make good choices without craving opiates.

Our Medical Director, Dr. Stoune, is an addictionologist and believes that one of the best ways to help our clients to stop using opiates and to prevent severe withdrawal discomfort is to use Suboxone. The doctor directs the use of the Suboxone to achieve the level where you feel comfortable and do not have further cravings for the opiates that your body has created an addiction for. Once you have reached this level and have become stable then over a period of time the Suboxone is removed from use and then you can carry on your life free of the need for opiates.
