City of Boise abides by the ADA requirements for people with disabilities
The City of Boise meets all of the requirements for people with disabilites when it comes to fair housing. They completely understand what the Federal Fair Housing Law for people with disabilities means and they impliment it completely. It was so great to have a conversation with Jerry Todd of the City of Boise Building Department today and find out that they have worked very hard along with the City of Boise Attorney's office to make sure that they meet all of the requirements of the ADA laws in regards to people with drug and alcohol addictions. Jerry Todd is a very nice person and really understands all of the laws and how the City of Boise complies with these laws.
I explained to him that I was dealing with the Eagle Fire Department and the Idaho State Fire Marshall's office and when I explained what they were requiring of me he agreed that they are breaking the Federal Fair Housing Law and that when HUD sues them for breaking the law they will lose the law suit because they are not in compliance with the law. He had me tell Kurt McClenny the Eagle City Fire Chief to call him and to learn what Boise already knows. He said to have Mark Larson, the Idaho State Fire Marshall call him so he could explain the laws to him.
So, I told Kurt McClenny and Mark Larson to call him to find out how they can be in compliance with the Federal Fair Housing Laws. I have already filed a discrmination law suit with HUD against the Eagle Fire Department and the Idaho State Fire Marshall's office since they are breaking the laws. I do hope that they will talk to Jerry and find out how they can comply with the ADA laws. The business loss that I could possibly sustain and I would be able to recoup through a law suit that will be supported by HUD would be from $156,000 to $1,404,000. I wonder if the citizens of Eagle who pay taxes to support the Eagle Fire Department really want their money wasted in this way. The Eagle Fire Department is aware of this so I hope they will check with the City of Boise Building Department as they do abide by all of the laws.
It would be so easy for the Eagle Fire Department and the Idaho State Fire Marshall's office to learn about how they can meet the laws. That is if they want to learn. We will see.
The HUD investigator will soon begin his evaluation of the situation and the business loss costs will start to add up.
Anyone who understands the ADA laws and the personal and financial cost when they are being broken please write.
I really commend the City of Boise Building Department and Jerry Todd
