We are holistic in nature in that we offer a very well rounded approach to recovery. We understand that addiction has changed your life in ways that are not healthy and good for you. First we begin with a social model detox. This means that our Medical Director guides a program that will help you to get off of your drug of choice with as little discomfort as possible. For opiate addictions this means using Suboxone to stop the craving, when the craving is under control then it is a slow process to stop the use of Suboxone which will leave you without the craving for opiates. For alcohol addictions that are non-severe our Medical Director guides you with a variety of options to keep you from feeling withdrawals. It does not take long before you have no need for the meds and are off of the alcohol. Along with this we offer sessions with our personal trainer who guides you to make new choices about the possibility of an exercise program to help you to gain a healthy and toned body. We also use a state of the art gym that has a basketball court, indoor track, rock climbing wall, swimming pools, weight equipment, circuit training and a sauna and hot tub. You will receive training from our nutritionist in healthy eating habits to support your body's newly gained health. While at Bow Creek Recovery Center you are provided meals prepared by our chef. They are very tasty and also nutritious.

Our highly trained staff of counselors works with you in group therapy sessions and one-on-one to understand your addiction and how to make new choices for yourself. This is a journey of self discovery that our staff supports you through. You gain insight and understanding into yourself and your addiction and how to overcome it. Another aspect of Bow Creek Recovery Center's approach is that we teach the 12 step programs. You receive training in the 12 steps and you will attend 12 step meetings so that you can understand how these programs are a positive support for your continued sobriety.
